Neil and Andy decided to head off to the Grand Canyon this weekend. They left Friday afternoon. They called from Panquitch said that the weather was fine, but that it was COLD! They got to Glendale and stayed at the KOA there. Thanks heavens the cabins have heaters or they would've froze to death that night. On Saturday they drove to the Grand Canyon, which Neil said was a very cold ride. Then from there they drove to Ely, Nv. (that's about 10 hrs away). Neil said that it was raining most of the way there. They got to the KOA in Ely and then headed into town for dinner. By the time they got back to their cabin it was a total downpour. It started snowing and hailing that night. They woke up Sunday morning and had to get the snow and ice off the motorcycle and head home. On their way to Delta it started snowing and raining. I'm so glad that Neil had his heated gear for Andy to wear, so Andy didn't freeze to bad. They were both cold when they finally got home, but they made it.
